Responsibilities

The upkeep of our beautiful park is a matter of pride as well as safety. Everyone is expected to pitch in where they can, whether it’s driving a loader, managing the office phone lines, or operating a table saw. It all counts!

Using technology to connect members in the park with those who are traveling on the road with the goings-on inside the park is vital to be sure all voices are heard. Meetings can be attended remotely by computer, tablet or smart phone from anywhere our active members are.

Each member is required to contribute to the common good by giving of their time and talent in ways that match personal interests and abilities to park needs. To keep this a thriving community, there are vastly different aptitudes required. Whether a person wants to offer expertise refined over a lifetime of work or pursue new learnings, we welcome the energy of all willing hands and minds.

As a new member, you’ll be assigned a PIP mentor who will happily guide you through the different options available to help you find your niche here at the park. With your new partner, your skills, passions, and interests can be linked to the needs of the park. Much of the volunteering in the park is planned and done by teams, which can be confusing, especially to a newbie. Your mentor can explain and help you decide where you would like to volunteer.
